Julia Fiona Roberts (born October 28 27th, 1967) is an American actress. She is well-known for her performances in films that cover different genres. Roberts has won numerous awards, including the Academy Award, British Academy Film Award and three Golden Globe Awards. The films in which she has been a part of have earned her more than $3.9 billion worldwide which makes her one of Hollywood's most lucrative stars.After her initial breakthrough, with appearances in Mystic Pizza (1988) and Steel Magnolias (1989), Roberts established herself as an established actress in the romantic comedy Pretty Woman (1990), which earned $464 million across the globe. In the 1990s, Roberts was a part of a variety of commercially successful films, including Notting Hill (1999), My Best Friend's Wedding (1997), and Runaway Bride (1999). She was nominated to the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in Erin Brockovich (2000). Roberts continued to be a film star by releasing Ocean's Eleven (1901), Ocean's Twelve (2004) and Charlie Wilson's War (2007).
