Charles Wade Barkley (born February 20th, 1963) is an American former professional basketball player who is an analyst on TV on TNT. Barkley was often referred to as "Sir Charles", 'Chuck' and "the Round Mound of Rebound" after the 16 seasons he played for three different teams in the National Basketball Association. Though shorter than the typical power forward, he used his power and grit to become one of the NBA's most dominant rebounders. Barkley was versatile and could score, make plays and defend. Barkley was an 11-time NBA All-Star, an 11-time player on the All-NBA Team, and the 1993 NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP). Barkley was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers as a fifth-round pick during the 1984 NBA draft. Barkley was selected for the 1985 NBA All-Rookie First Team. The 1986-87 season saw him make his debut.
