Mary Louise

 Mary-Louise Parker was born August 2 in 1964. She is an American actress. After her Broadway debut as Rita in Craig Lucas' Prelude to a Kiss in 1990 (for which she won a Tony Award nomination), Parker became famous for her film roles in Grand Canyon (1991), Fried Green Tomatoes (1991), The Client (1994), Bullets over Broadway (1994), A Place for Annie (1994), Boys on the Side (1995), The Portrait of a Lady (1996), and The Maker (1997). In addition to her stage and independent film appearances thereafter, Parker received the 2001 Tony Award for Best Actress in the same Play for her performance as Catherine Llewellyn in David Auburn's Proof as well as other awards. Between 2001 between 2001 and 2006, she was a regular as Amy Gardner in the NBC television show The West Wing, for which she was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2002. She was awarded the Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy Award for her performance of Harper Pitt in the acclaimed HBO mini-series on television Angels in America in 2003.
