Shemar Moore

 Shemar Franklin Moore (born on April 20, 1970) is an American actor from the United States. He is well-known for his role as Malcolm Winters (1994-2005), Derek Morgan (2005-2016) and Hondo on S.W.A.T. All of this on CBS. From 1999 to 2003, Moore was the third permanent host of Soul Train. He also won the 2000 Daytime Emmy Award as Outstanding Supporting Actor in the Drama Series. He was nominated for the People's Choice Award in 2016 for his work on Criminal Minds.Moore was born in Oakland, California, the child of Marilyn Wilson, a business consultant, and Sherrod Moore. Moore was born to an African-American father and French-Canadian mother. He attended Santa Clara University as a baseball pitcher and outfielder for four years. Moore is a Bachelor's student in Communications , with a concentration in Theater Arts.
