Gomez started her acting career with the television show for children called Barney & Friends (2002-2004). In her teens she became famous in the role of Alex Russo on the Disney Channel television series Wizards of Waverly Place (2007-2012). Gomez was also a part of several films which include Another Cinderella Story (2008) and Princess Protection Program (2009). She was also seen in Ramona and Beezus (2010) and Spring Breakers (2012). Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016). A Rainy Day in New York (2018). Her production company, July Moon Productions, also produced 13 Reasons Why (2017-2022) and Living Undocumented (2018). Additionally, she executive produces and is a star in the HBO Max cooking series Selena + Chef (2020-present) and the Hulu mystery-comedy show Only Murders in the Building
