Bernadette (nee Lazzara, born on February 28th 1948) was an American actress, singer and children's author. She has appeared on television, film, musical theatre and solo concerts and recorded recordings. Her career spans over six decades. She is a highly-acclaimed Broadway performer, receiving seven nominations for Tony Awards, winning two (plus an honorary award) as well as nine Drama Desk Award nominations, winning three. She has won Grammy Awards for four of the Broadway album casts she been a part of. (2018).
