 American actress Amy Lou Adams was born on August 20 1974. She is known for her comedic and dramatic roles. Amy Lou Adams has been featured three times on the annual list of the most well-paid actresses in the globe. Her awards include two Golden Globe Awards and nominations for six Academy Awards and seven British Academy Film Awards. She made her debut on film with Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) in which she played a support role. She made guest appearances in the television industry and also played "mean girl" parts in feature films that had low budgets. Her first big role was in Steven Spielberg's biopic Catch Me If You Can (2002), but she was unemployed for a year afterward. Her breakthrough came when she portrayed an unassuming pregnant woman in the comedy-drama independent Junebug (2005) which for which she received her first Academy Award nomination.
