Rosalia

Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is a Spanish pop and flamenco singer. She has been a part of the fringes of both traditional and popular music since her teens she also delves into other genres such as hip-hop soul and trap. Pepe Habichuela Flamenco guitarist who is renowned for her talent, described her voice as one that was sweet with an old-fashioned sound. El Mal Querer was her significant commercial breakthrough and critical success in 2018. The single Los Angeles garnered her attention and earned her a Latin Grammy Nomination for Best New Artist and it was a top hit on Billboard's Latin Pop Albums and she received the Grammy. The track La Fama with The Weeknd was released. Motomami is her 3rd full-length album. It featured collaborations on songwriting with other performers and producers like Cory Henry. The album came out in 2022, as a result of the Saturday Night Live appearance by Rosalia, the vocalist of Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish solo performer to be a part of the show on Saturday Night Live. Along with taking home three additional Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia also became the first female to be awarded the Latin Album of the Year twice.
