Spencer

 Spencer Michael Rattler (born September 28 in 2000) is an American football quarterback who plays in the college football league for South Carolina. Rattler started his college career with Oklahoma before transferring to South Carolina in 2021.Going into his freshman year in redshirt, Rattler competed with Tanner Mordecai to be the quarterback. Lincoln Riley announced on September 1 that Rattler had been chosen to start as the quarterback instead of Mordecai. Rattler made his debut against Missouri State on September 12. Rattler broke the Oklahoma record for touchdowns with 8 passes in just two weeks on the 26th of September. This record was established by Sam Bradford back in 2008. However, Rattler's starting job got off to a rocky beginning when he and the Sooners were defeated by Kansas State in his second game. Rattler was successful in throwing for 300 yards and two touchdowns during his third attempt at Iowa State. This defeat ended a streak of 24 straight home losses for Iowa State to Oklahoma. Rattler as well as the Sooners made a comeback with a win over Texas in the Red River Rivalry game. He had seen action in the second quarter of the College Football Playoff Semi-Final Game against LSU. Overall, he appeared in three games during the 2019 season.
