The dramatic finale of Netflix's YA drama The Society had its fans crying. The final episode that revealed the truth about the fate of West Ham's teenage characters. However, there are more to come because The Society season two has now been cancelled by Netflix. In an announcement, Netflix blamed COVID-19, explaining: "We've made the difficult decision to not proceed with the continuation of The Society and I Am not happy about this. These decisions were caused by COVID's situation. We are disappointed. "A source said to The Hollywood Reporter that despite being happy with how both shows ran, the "uncertainty" over the air times, "unexpected budget increases" because of the pandemic and the difficulties of managing a big crew were hurdles that proved too big to over come. "We had spent the last couple of months getting ready to go back and dealing with COVID protocol issues," showrunner Chris Keyser told Variety. "And I received an email from Netflix declaring that they had taken this choice.' It was quite disturbing and shocking.
