 Ryan Murphy developed Ratched, an American psychological thriller on streaming TV series. Sarah Paulson plays the part as Nurse Mildred Ratched. It's a prequel of Milos Forman's film "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" that was based on Ken Kesey's book with the same title. It depicts Mildred Ratched's life before the events in the film. However, it is set in California (rather than Oregon). Ratched was granted a second season order. The premiere of the first season aired on Netflix on September 18, 2020.Ratched is a suspenseful drama series that traces the beginning story of asylum nurse Mildred Ratched. In 1947, Mildred arrives in Northern California to seek employment at a top psychiatric hospital where unsettling and new tests have been conducted on the human brain. Mildred seems to be an ideal model of a committed nurse. However, the wheels continue going. As Mildred begins to gain access to the system of mental health as well as the people who reside there, her gorgeous exterior conceals a dark truth that has been simmering inside.
