 Oprah Winfrey is an American media mogul, television host and an author. Oprah has a net worth of $3.5 billion. Today she earns around $315 million a year due to her lucrative and diverse media empire. Oprah was first recognized due to "The Oprah Winfrey Show," which premiered in 1986, and continued to air 4,561 episodes over 25 seasons before concluding on May 25, 2011. Oprah is a multi-billionaire today as a result of a simple career decision taken during the 1980s midway through. In the next section of this article, after signing a seemingly-great contract that paid her $1 million annually, in 1986 Oprah made a move independently and created Harpo, Inc.
