Nelson

Nelson Mandela was a South African political activist and anti-apartheid revolutionary, politician and philanthropist with a net worth of $1 million at the date when he died in December of 2013. Nelson Mandela served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.The major portion of Mandela's wealth came from book royalties from his best autobiography of 1994 "Long Walk to Freedom". Nelson was an active speaker in good health. Mandela was President when he slashed his salary. In addition to that, Mandela still gave 1/3 of his earnings to South African children's charities. Nelson was divorced three times, and had six kids (only three of them still living at his death). Nelson put the bulk of his fortune in more than a dozen trust funds for his children's benefit. They also stopped him from bickering. The trusts have provided numerous benefits.
