 Despite the sequel's retro chic addition, Minions' antics are becoming tiring. But this marathon will still be fun for kids of all ages. Review the critics' opinions on Minions: The Rise of Gru might not be the greatest of the Minions however it does have all the fun and zany humor people who love the show will be looking for. Listen to reviews from the audience In the 1970s, Gru (Oscar(r), nominee Steve Carell), is growing up in suburbia amid a mad rush of hairstyles with feathers and flared jeans. A fan of the supervillain group, known as the Vicious 6, Gru hatches a plan to become an evil enough member of the group. The loyal members of his group provide him with some help in causing chaos. Kevin, Stuart and Bob and Otto, a new Minion with braces and a desire to please, use their skills together as they construct their first base and play with their first weapon. Gru is interviewed as their new member following the Vicious 6 remove their leader Wild Knuckles, an Oscar(r) winner. The interview doesn't go as planned (to say the least), and only gets worse after Gru defeats them and finds himself the mortal enemy of the apex of evil. Gru will seek advice from an unlikely source while on the run.
