Soon after graduating from college Whitney Wolfe Herd was a student and went to work for the dating app Tinder. There have been numerous times the story of Whitney Wolfe Herd's crash burn at Tinder and her expulsion amid claims that she was discriminated against due to being a woman. Since leaving Tinder and founded Bumble, her own dating application Bumble, in 2014. In the present, the app on which women make the first decision is in the process of preparing for an IPO as soon as early 2021. According to reports, the company is seeking an investment of between $6 billion to $8 billion. Wolfe Herd is 31, the CEO of Bumble, its parent company, and will be leading the IPO. As of this writing, the company is still in search of an underwriter but with 100 million customers and growing Wolfe Herd will be able to pick her favorite from the proverbial litter.Whitney Wolfe Herd was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah where she was a student at Judge Memorial Catholic High School. Her father, Michael, a property developer is Jewish. Her mother Kelly is a homemaker who is Catholic. She began to become feminist at a young age when she noticed and resented how the society of dating in Utah relied on men to make the first decision.
