Maya

 Maya Angelou was an American poet writer, teacher, activist, actress, and public speaker. She had an estimated worth of 10 million dollars at the time she passed away in 2014. Author of 36 books Angelou was most likely famous for writing the autobiography in 1969 "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings" that quickly became an international bestseller and is still standard reading material in numerous high schools.Early in her career, Maya marched with and was friends with both the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X. She received the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the National Medal of Arts. Angelou also received three Grammys and many other honors. Angelou's role in the films "Roots", "Poetic Justice", "How to Make an American Quilt" (1993) as well as "Madea's family reunion" (2006) were all part of her acting career. In 1973, Angelou was nominated for an Tony nomination for Best featured Actress in a Play. Unfortunately, Maya passed away in May 2014, at the age of 86. The agent of Angelou advised Angelou that Maya had was diagnosed with a mysterious illness and was now frail.
