Rebecca Alie O'Connell(nee Romijn [/roU'meIn/ roh-MAYN; Dutch: [ro:'mein]], born November 6 1972) is an American actress and former model. She is well-known for her character Mystique in the first trilogy (2000-2006) of the X-Men film series, as Joan in The Punisher (2004) (both made based on Marvel Comics), the dual role of Laure Ash and Lily Watts in Femme Fatale (2002),and Number One on Star Trek: Discovery (2019) and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022-present). Her role as a regular on Ugly Betty as Alexis Meade was also a aspect of her career. Her other notable role includes Eve Baird on the TNT series The Librarians, voicing Lois Lane in the DC Animated Movie Universe as well as the host of the reality-competition show Skin Wars.Her father is from Barneveld, the Netherlands as is her mother, who is an American of Dutch and English ancestry. Rebecca's mother met Rebecca's dad as an adolescent in the Netherlands as part of a student exchange program.
