Nicholas Scott Cannon (born October 8 August, 1980) is an American television host, actor, rapper, and comedian. In the world of television, Cannon began as a teenager on All That before going on to host the Nick Cannon Show, Wild 'n Out America's Got Talent, Lip Sync Battle Shorties and The Masked Singer. Cannon acted in the films Drumline and Love Don't Cost a thing. Then, he went on to host The Nick Cannon Show, Wild 'n Out and America's Got Talent. Lip Sync Battle Shorties, The Masked Singer and The Nick Cannon Show. In 2003, he released the self-titled debut album featuring the single "Gigolo", a collaboration between R. Kelly. He played the role in the movie Goal II: Living the Dream of TJ Harper, an imaginary footballer. Cannon recorded "Dime Piece" in 2006 and "My Wife" on the album Stages. The album was not released. Cannon was raised largely by his paternal grandfather who he and his biological dad used to call "dad". Cannon was born in the Lincoln Park's Bay Vista Housing Projects as an infant. It is a gang-dominated neighborhood in Southeast San Diego.
