Matt Brown

 Matthew Burton Brown, born on January 10, 1981 is an American mixed martial artist who fights in the Welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Brown is a professional fighter since 2004, was a contestant on the seventh season of The Ultimate Fighter television series. Brown is the holder of the record for the highest number of UFC Welterweight knockouts. Brown was born in Jamestown. After being educated at home for two years, Brown enrolled in Greeneview High School where he struggled to find friends. Brown was raised in a small town with no hope of his career. He was an machinist in a small factory. Brown was addicted to methamphetamine and frequently drank cocaine and was often involved in fights at events. In his 20s Brown had been afflicted with an overdose of heroin that earned him the name "The Immortal", was homeless and was sentenced to prison. Brown began to become interested in MMA when he started practicing submission holds while drinking. He had watched Ken Shamrock's VHS tapes of his friends and was compelled to pursue MMA.
