Lindsay Dee Lohan (/'loU.@n/ LOH-@n's birth date: July 2nd, 1986) is an American actress and singer.Born in New York City and raised on Long Island, Lohan was signed to Ford Models at the age of three. Having appeared as an actress on the TV soap opera Another World at age 10 The breakthrough for her came in the Walt Disney Pictures film The Parent Trap (1998). Its popularity led to her appearances in television's Life-Size (2000), Get a Clue (2002) and large-screen films Freaky Friday (2003) as well as Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004). The early work of Lohan earned her stardom. The teen-friendly comedy Mean Girls (2004) established her status as an idol. Lohan also signed with Casablanca Records, releasing two studio albums, including the platinum-certified Speak (2004) as well as the gold-certified A Little Personal(Raw) (2006).
