Durk Derrick Banks was born on October 19, 1992, is an American rapper from the United States. He is the main member and founder of the record label and collective Only the Family (OTF).Durk garnered an cult following after the release of his Signed to the Streets mixtape series (2013-2014) which led to a recording deal with Def Jam Recordings. The label will release the first of his studio albums, Remember My Name (2015) and Lil Durk 2X (2016) prior to Durk quit Def Jam in 2018.Following the independent release of his Just Cause Y'all Waited mixtape in March of 2018, Durk signed a deal with Alamo Records in July. Durk's first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 as a top artist came in April 2020 when he released "Viral Moment", the lead single from his fifth studio album Just Cause You Waited 2(2020). Singles like "3 Headed Goat", "Backdoor", and "Polo G and Lil Baby" continued Lil Durk's commercial revival.
