 Keanu Charles Reeves (/ki'a:nu:/ kee'AH-noo;[4][5] born September 2 1964) is a Canadian[b] actor. Born in Beirut and raised in Toronto, Reeves began acting in theater productions and television films before making his feature film debut with Youngblood (1986). He landed his first big role in the science fiction comedy Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989), and then reprised his role in the sequels. He was praised for his role as hustler in the drama of an independent production My Own Private Idaho (1991) and established himself as an action hero with the lead parts in Point Break (1991) and Speed (1994).Following several box office failures, Reeves's role in the film of horror The Devil's Advocate (1997) was well-received. The film was most well-known for his role as Neo in The Matrix's science-fiction series that began in 1999. He played John Constantine in Constantine (2005) and also appeared in the romantic drama The Lake House (2006) as well as the science-fiction thriller The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008),
