Julia Fiona Roberts was born on October 28th, 1967. Her most well-known roles are in films that span a range of genres, she's been awarded many awards such as an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award as well as three Golden Globe Awards. The movies in which she's performed have totaled more than $3.9 billion globally and make her one of the most bankable stars.After her initial breakthrough, with performances in Mystic Pizza (1988) and Steel Magnolias (1989), Roberts made her mark as an established actress in the romantic comedy Pretty Woman (1990), that grossed $464 million globally. She starred in numerous commercially successful films in the 1990s, including the cult romantic comedy My Best Friend's Wedding (1997), Notting Hill (1999) and Runaway Bride (1999), after which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in biographical drama Erin Brockovich (2000).
