David Ortez

 David Amyrico Ortiz Arias (born on November 18, 1975), nicknamed "Big Papi", is a Dominican-American ex-designated hitter (DH) and first baseman in Major League Baseball who played in the American League (AL) from 1997 until 2016 primarily with the Boston Red Sox. After playing parts of six seasons with the Minnesota Twins with unremarkable results, Ortiz moved to the Red Sox, where he was a key player in ending the team's 86-year World Series championship drought in 2004 and also winning the championship in 2013 and 2007, and He was named the World Series Most Valuable Player in 2013. In the first five seasons of his time with the team, he hit an average of 41 home runs and 128 runs batted in and was a leader in the AL twice in the latter category and setting the team's single-season record with 54 home runs in the year 2006; he finished in the top five of the AL's Most Valuable Player voting all five years.Used mostly as a DH during his 14 seasons with the Red Sox, he was the tenth All-Star in his career and a seven-time Silver.
