Barbara Eden

 Barbara Eden, born Barbara Jean Morehead on August 23 1931 was an American actor and singer. She is best known for her performance as Jeannie in I Dream of Jeannie (1965-1970). Roslyn Pierce as Elvis Presley's sidekick on Flaming Star (1960), Lieutenant JG Cathy Connors (Voyage to the bottom of the Sea from 1961 to) as well as Stella Johnson, a widowed mother in Harper Valley PTA (1978) are other notable roles. Due to the success of the film Eden reprised her role in the role of Stella Johnson in a two-season TV show, Harper Valley PTA.Eden was born on the 23rd of August 1931 in Tucson, Arizona, to Alice Mary (nee Franklin) and Hubert Henry Morehead. She is a descendant of Benjamin Franklin. (For many years her birth year was believed to be 1934. Following her parents' divorce her mother and she relocated to San Francisco, where her mother was married to Harrison Connor Huffman, a telephone lineman. By him, she had a daughter, Eden's half-sister. Alice entertained her children by singing since they could not have the luxury of life in the Great Depression.
